Several years ago, while I was in prayer, God showed me the land that is ours to declare victory over. Triumph will begin with Inverness and from there we will take the surrounding cities. The area God has given us stretches out approximately 20 miles in every direction from Inverness.
Taking the city for God means the prince of this City will have to flee and the stronghold religion has had will be broken. Then, we can begin reaping the harvest. The Word provides many examples of God giving His people victory over the enemy. Joshua chapter 6 is one that tells the story of how Joshua (through God’s instruction) led the Israelites to break the stronghold of Jericho. It was by the people’s faith and obedience to God that the stronghold was broken. While the details of each chronicle differ from one another, the sequence of events is all the same. God gives instruction, the people are obedient and the battle is won. Obedience is the key to victory!
We know the commandments of love are the greatest (Mark 12:30-31), so we must be a people overflowing with God’s love and charity. In 1 Peter 4:10, we are called to use our gifts to serve others as faithful stewards of God’s grace. Using our God-given gifts to serve others is love. Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 12 that each of us is unique, but together we make the body complete. As part of the body, we must resemble Jesus – strong in leadership and active in the kingdom of God.
This is the vision God gave me for the Living Waters church. We will take the City of Inverness for God and begin new churches in the surrounding communities. To be victorious, we will all need to be unified in obedience to God and overflowing with an agape kind of love (towards each other and the lost). This is the commission God has put upon our lives.
In His Love,
Pastor
