Extraordinary Precision

They – the scientists of this world – say that our universe is built with such precision that if it contained one extra electron its electric charge would become negative, forcing clumps of matter to push itself apart. One extra particle in the vastness of the universe and life as we know it – the Earth, the stars, and everything else in our world – would not exist. Wow, I’m pretty sure my mind just exploded. Our Creator is so awesome!
Recently I witnessed (or had my eyes open long enough to see) His precision first-hand in my own life. I won’t bore you with all the details; but long story short, if there were any other outcome to the situation, life as I know it could have been quite different. The way God played it out was so perfect and so exact that all I could do was sit back in awe. Truth, it wasn’t on the top of my list of fun activities; I actually would have preferred to just skip the entire process, but through His precision, I was able to see Him working and understood the necessity of the events that were unfolding before me.
As the Lord opened my eyes to His work, I had an indescribable peace come over me – one of those things in life you have to experience for yourself to fully appreciate. I was able to see Jesus more clearly for who He is. “He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.” (Deuteronomy 32:4) The Word tells us His work is perfect; yet, there are times we question or fear His ways of increase and purification. When the heat gets turned up, we need to stand in His faithfulness and not waver from what we know is truth.
Jesus is perfect, righteous and faithful; and, His precision and balance exists all around us. Our human bodies, the Earth’s ecosystems, the ocean habitats, the heavens – they are all merely a witness to His endless perfection. Take notice of the evidence; there is beauty and confirmation of His promises in it. Be encouraged to know that the same Creator, who perfected the universe, is also working with precision in your life, for your good. Ephesians, 2:10 (NLT), “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”
God has truly transformed my perception over the past few months. He has brought me to the revelation that our lives are being precisely shaped to glorify Him in His perfection. There are no mistakes; all things really do work together for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28).
Thank you Jesus for your perfect works in my life. Help me to remain steadfast and stand upon your promises. Let me not waver from your eternal truth. You are my rock and firm foundation. Great is your faithfulness! Amen.
